There are troubles that come and drain the very will to take one more step.
Those are weary days indeed.
Days that all around looms a valley of death, and new strength seems so far from grasp.
Psalm 84 calls out; thirst for more than better days.
Thirst and hunger for Him.
That’s when Jesus stands up on the inside of you.
He stands when He becomes your greatest hunger, in answer to the call of your heart, when you can’t stand in Him for even one. more. day.
He stands up.
He stands up and walks you through that valley.
He stands up and His strength is made perfect in your weakness.
He stands up and everyone around you begins to marvel and wonder how you are standing there, knee deep in death?
They think they are looking at you, but they are seeing what only God can do.
You have been redeemed. His love will never fail.
You were led to this valley so He could stand and sing the song He was meant to sing.
Your lips will open and out comes His melody of love.
You will walk out of this valley someday, and in all the best ways, nothing thing will ever be the same again.
Because He stands.

Carrie, I found you from Ann's website. I had not realized that she has a link up until today. I'm just up the road from you in the DFW metroplex. I love your words. I will visit again! Blessings! N

I will be praying for her. I wrote this in part with a friend in a similar situation in my own mind, I have seen her crumble and I have seen Jesus stand up in her. Grace and strength to your friend!
